The Tipping Point

Our first design studies assignment was to read 'The tipping point' by Michael Gladwell and to create a mind map emphasising important points form the book. This book surprised me as I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. Having read it for the second time, I noticed other interesting qualities within the book I never caught first time round.

"Solve the obvious problems, whatever it takes!"

Whilst watching the TV the other week, the wise words of James Dyson was brought to my attention throughout the advertisement of his next genius idea.
"Solve the obvious problems, whatever it takes"
The quotation and advert as a whole makes a virtue out of improvement for the sake of improvement, and it encapsulates a simple strategy for customer experience.

Lithography

Having never done lithography before, it gave me chance to work with other materials when printmaking. I chose tho re-create the album cover of 'the maccabees'..... the outcome was a success but not quite sure the result would work as well with other images

Cobwebs & Curiosities

We have recently been given a brief in which we have to work in pairs to research and investigate a specific museum genre.
As everyone was to have a different genre, I was unlucky enough to pick the museum of flight out of a hat.
The assignment is a 3 part brief:
The first part was to present research material on an A2 mood board.

Our chosen concept taken from the initial research was to then be developed and expressed in a 3-dimensional model.
The model has to then be subsequently photographed under studio conditions and is to be put together with requisite typographic content to form an A2 promotional poster to exhibit in any museum of our choice. Our typographic content has to include an eye-catching/ intriguing strapline appropriate to the museum of flight....
